       IIT-JEE formly Indian Institutes of Technology-Joint Entrance Examinationis for those candidates who wish to get into BE or B.Tech courses of IIT's in India. It is conducted by one of the seven zonal IITs (IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Guwhati ).. The Main is an eligibility test that allows students to give the Advanced exam which eventually leads to admission in IITs.

Key Fetures:

  • It is used as the get admission test by the 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs). Other universities like the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs), and the premier Indian Institute of Science (IISc) also use the score obtained in JEE Advanced as the basis for admission
  • Any student who takes admission to IITs cannot appear for the JEE-Advanced exam in the next year, but the same is not the case with IISc, IISER, RGIPT and other institutes as these institutes only use JEE Advanced score for admission.
  • Student should be among the top 2.24 lakh candidates in JEE(Main).
  • Should be less than 25 years of age. For SC, ST, PwD candidates the age limit is 30 years.
  • Should not have appeared in the JEE(Advanced) exam 2 years before or earlier.
  • Should have appeared for the Class XII Board Examination for the first time in the last year of the exam or that year only.
  • 12th Percentage will matter while appearing for JEE Main Exam.
  • Should score a minimum of 75% in the class XII board examination or should be within the top 20 percentile of their respective examination board.
  • IIT-JEE Main Paper 1 will held in Online & Offline both modes but Paper 2 will be held in Online Mode only.
  • The Advanced Exam will be conducted only in Online Mode.

  • IIT JEE Main 2018 Registration Date: 1st Dec to 1st January
  • IIT JEE Main 2018 Admit Card Date: 12th March
  • IIT JEE Main 2018 Exam Date: 8th April(paper 2), 15th and 16th April(paper 1)
  • IIT JEE Main 2018 Exam Result Date: 30th April
  • IIT JEE Advanced 2018 Admit Card Date: 14th May
  • IIT JEE Advanced 2018 Exam Date: 20thMay
  • IIT JEE Advanced 2018 Exam Date: 2nd week of June
  • IIT JEE Counselling 2018 Exam Date: Last week of June
